Saipan Career Exploration Day

Students must submit their application to participate in the Saipan Chamber of Commerce second Student Career Exploration Day no later than today, Sept. 14. This is a correction to the earlier report that the deadline is Sept. 21.

The Chamber's Student Career Exploration Day will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, the day of the Chamber's General Membership Meeting.

High school juniors and seniors at private or public schools are eligible to participate in the program. There is no cost to the student, although they must provide their own transportation to and from the worksite.

Students can get applications from their high school principals, at the Chamber of Commerce office, or at the Chamber website, www.saipanchamber.com.

Applications will be considered in the order they are received. Applications must be complete, and both permission slips must be signed; early application is recommended.

LPN

LPN - Licensed Practical and Licensed Vocational Nurse. LPNs work with hypodermic needles, nebulizers, patient care beds, patient stabilization or fall prevention devices or accessories, spirometers, and more. This is an InDemand occupation.

Lodging Manager

Lodging Manager - also known as Front Office Manager, Front Desk Manager, Director of Front Office, Hotel Manager, and Bed and Breakfast Innkeeper. This is an InDemand position.

Consider this oppupation if you enjoy:

Loan Officer

Loan Officers, according to the O*NET, evaluate, authorize, or recommend approval of commercial, real estate, or credit loans. They advise borrowers on financial status and methods of payments. Includes mortgage loan officers and agents, collection analysts, loan servicing officers, and loan underwriters. This is an InDemand occupation.

Consider this occupation if you enjoy:
